Birth and death dates are from inscriptions on gravestones in Pine Log Cemetery. Clarence was born in 1872 aand died in 1896, and Essie Lula was born in 1878 and died in 1900. They are buried in the plot with their parents and seemingly never married.
Daughters Lena and Flora survived into old age but never married. They are also buried at Pine Log Cemetery.
Note 2: Levi, 1810-1880, and Matilda, 1815-1890, are buried in the same plot as James and Georgia and their children. Although this is not proof, it is highly suggestive since the ages are in the correct range.
Note 1: The dates are from James's Death Certificate Georgia #9450, filed 7 April 1929, Bartow County. Although the year of birth on the certificate is 1852, that cannot be correct since it states his age was 87 years plus some months. This would point to a birth year of 1842, which is likely correct since James was filed for a military pension for his service in the CSA forces during the Civil War.
