The 1850 census (see link under Richard) includes the children Virginia, 23, and Leroy (male), 22. Leroy was almost certainly a mis-listing of Lucy, or Lucinda, a female of this age since she is not listed in the family but is listed again in 1860. Virginia and Jane may be the same persod since Virginia and Jane of about the same age are never in the family at the same time.

Richard Bradshaw

Richard was born about 1780 in VA if information on the 1850 census is correct; however, both Richard and Mary were probably born later---probably around 10 years later---than those ages would suggest if Rosa was their child, as is reported and as she appears to be.
Richard's death may well have been before 1860 since I did not find him on the 1860 census.

- 1820 Census, Montgomery County, TN, p. 228: couple only (000010 // 00100) Listed next to Joseph Bradshaw; also nearby on same page was Henry Smith, (100100 // 10200), likely the Henry Smith married to Richard's sister Susanna.
NOTE: in 1830, Richard was listed as being age 20 through 29, and his wife was listed as being 30 through 39. The children were one son under 5 and one daughter under 5. Although I had not known the family owned slaves, there was one male slave listed as between 10 and 23.
