Susan Smith and Alfred Oliver

Susan was born about 1819, probably in Montgomery County, TN, or Stewart County, TN. I have little data about her an her family other than census records and marriage records.

Her husband Alfred Oliver was mentioned in Susan's father Henry's will. I have found almost nothing else about his ancestry; however, he almost certainly belonged to the Oliver family that was in Henry County from its early days.

She was probably dead by 1880 since I could not find her listed on the census in Mississippi, where they had been since no later than 1860, and where the youngest child Sarah was found in the home of her sister Elizabeth, who was then married to L. K. Richardson. Refer to marriage for confirmation that the wife was Elizabeth Oliver.
