Marriage to Andrew Johns: 16 Apr 1907, Paducah, McCracken Co., KY
Other spouse: Odus Jackson (see below.)
The spelling of her name was inconsistent, Lilly, Lillie, or sometimes Lily.
Lilly and Andrew lived with us for a short time before her death, and he continued to live with us until his death. Gravestone death date of 11/4/1946 is incorrect since I remember that she died while we lived in Puryear, and we moved from Puryear to the farm east of Puryear before the end of WWII. Date of 11/4/1943 comes from Louise Alexander's memory and her records.
Census: 1910HnTNp134a
Lilly was married to her first husband, Odus Jackson, 17 Apr 1903, in Henry Co., TN. Odus was born 1877 or 1878, and died not too long after they were married. I have very little data on him, but I have a photo of him and Lilly.
Andrew had a brother Charles, called Uncle Charlie by my mother, who remembered him fondly.
Some records state birthdate as 11/20/1887, but this is undoubtedly incorrect because he was certainly over 61 when he died. The gravestone date of 1877 is probably more-nearly correct. See 1880 census (father Evans) and 1900 census. 1880MississippiMOp14b: Evans Johns, 30, IL, Tinnie, 30, TN, Charles, 2, MO, Andrew, 6 mo, MO 1900ScMOp113a: Andrew and Charles were boarders with George F.
