Richard was living with son Jessie and his wife Elsie when the 1940 census was taken, shortly before his death. His record of death states that he was widowed; that his burial would be at Antioch Cemetery; and that his parents were Jesse Bradshaw and Polly Chilcutt.
Son Jessie Franklin was married to Elsie Chilcutt, his second cousin, but I have looked through censuses and other sources and have found no record of any children.
