I knew this family mainly through Jesse Houston, who lived in Texas, but he and his family stayed with us in Tennessee several times while on vacation. He wanted my mother to go with the family to help his learn about the area near Paris Landing where his parents and Bradshaw grandparents had grown up. Through him, we met his wife and daughters, one of whom is still living in 2024, his mother Maggie and siblings J. L. and Bessie.

Jesse married Lillian Elise Childress, descended from one of the pioneer families of Texas. Jessie died 28 March 1982, in Wellington, Collingsworth County, Texas (Texas Death Certificate #14976). Elise died 29 March 2009, also in Wellington. Daughter Cheryl died 21 May 1996 (Obituary newspaper, Wellington Leader of 23 May 1996). One daughter is still living in 2024.
