Sarena E. Emmerson married James Hester 23 November 1853 in Henry County, TN. In 1870, William H. Hester, 15, born TN, lived with Thomas and Serena in Webster County, MO. I believe that William was Serena's son, but I didn't find him in the family in 1860. Serena's father may have been William Emmerson from VA, but she was not in his family in 1850. James Hester was probably the son of William Hester from NC; at least, there was a son James of the right age. Both William Hester and William Emmerson lived in Henry County, TN, in 1850.
