William Alexander

It is only my inference that the William who married Hettie Hinton in Logan Co. KY was Matthew's son William, but we know Matthew's nephew Samuel from Spartanburg SC and Roane Co. TN married Elizabeth Hinton in Logan Co. KY about two years later. There is some evidence from his g-grandniece (Mrs. Gaddy) that William's widow was named Esther, but I have found nothing to support Hettie/Esther's surviving him.

Was William's family in Christian Co. KY or Stewart/Henry County TN in 1820?

Death date per Antioch Primitive Baptist Church record; joined 10/1832. The Antioch records show that Martha was his wife when he died in 1839.
See p. 71, p. 83, of Vol E (inventory), and p. 104 of Vol F (Henry Co. records). Thomas was his administrator. These listed children are named in the court document that appointed brother Thomas as guardian. Martha Alexander, who purchased items at the estate sale, was probably the second wife, Martha Job (Jobe).
