Addison L. Lyle
I'm am looking for
anyone with information about the Lyle family who descends from Addison
and Esther (Alexander) Lyle of Roane County, Tennessee. Addison was
born about 1808 in Tennessee and married Esther Alexander February 7,
1833 in Roane County, TN. Their children are Ezra born 1833, Jane born
about 1837, Margaret born about 1838, John born about 1839, Mary born
about 1841, Eliza born about 1842, Sarah born about 1844, and Amanda
born about 1847, all born in Tennessee. Ezra married Clementine
Richardson July 6, 1885 [JFA NOTE: 26 July 1855 in marriage book for
Ezra A. to Clementine A. Richardson] in Roane County, TN. He served in
the Tennessee Volunteer Infantry during the Civil War, and afterwards
resided in Polk County, Missouri, and eventually in Cedar County, MO
where he died in January 1906. Clementine died sometime after 1910.
Their children are Samuel Logan who married Barbara Welsh, William Lee
who married Nancy Garrison, John who married Mary McCarthy, James
Thomas who married Margaret Breeze, Adna who married a Lindley and John
Hughes, Alice who married Lewis Monroe Dixon, and Mary Susan who
married Gaius McBride.
Anyone who has a possible connection, any information, or would like
more information, please contact me. The families eventually resided in
Labette County, KS; Las Animas, CO (Bent County); Grant County, WI;
Muskogee County, OK; Pottawatomie County, OK; and Cherokee County,

been related to Samuel Lyle, who married Esther's sister Miriam.
