Henry: parents not certain; father likely Francis Smith
Susanna: parents unknown, but it's almost a certainty that Richard and Joseph Bradshaw were her brothers.

Henry was born about 1795 in VA, and Susanna was born about 1799 or 1800 in VA. I know nothing more about them before the marriage. According to a relative, Susanna died after Jul 24, 1860, when she sold all but 8 acres (in MO) to her son William. Her maiden name is not proved, but the son of a Mary Smith, married to Samuel Dennis Buchanan in Carter Co., MO, gave Mary's mother's name as Susanna Bradshaw. I can find no other Mary Smith who fits as well as our Mary who was there at the time and about the correct age. (MO Death Cert. #37246, Mary Buchanan, d. 16 Nov, 1911, dated 18 Nov 1911, Carter Co., MO; data from: A. J. Buchanan; parents Henry Smith, b. TN, and Susanna Bradshaw, b. TN. Mary b. TN, 12 Oct 1830.)
This man is not our ancestor if our Henry was in Stewart County, TN, or Montgomery County, TN, in 1820: HENRY SMITH married SUSANNA KEELING 18 December 1820, Prince Edward Co. ??? Joseph was born about 1818 or 1819. Joseph was not mentioned in the will (possibly already had estate from father), but he seemed to be part of the family.
A man possibly but not likely our Henry
Is Henry the Henry H. Smith in the Henry County section of Stewart County or the one in Montgomery County, TN, in 1820? They are possibly the same man who moved a short distance during the census-enumeration period. Ages are correct for Henry, Susannah, and Joseph in Stewart, and the Montgomery family is correct for them also but includes a daughter (Susan?) and another female about Susanna's age. I can't establish a definite connection of Susan as a daughter, but Henry made a gift to her husband, Alfred Oliver in his will, although she was not mentioned in the will as a daughter.

1860CaMOp942: age given as 75 (only 50 in 1850 and daughter Elizabeth was only 21). Mary, 25, Ann, 23, Martha Housden, 31, and Martha's children Mary, 8, and William P., 2, also in family.
Evidence for Francis Smith as Henry's father is fairly weak, but, in addition to his living probably next door to an older Francis in 1820, two of Henry's grandchildren were named Francis Marion. They could, of course, have been named in honor of the Revolutionary hero but their births were several years later than the time this would have been likely.
