These records have been transcribed from Marriage Record Book A which is stored in the County Court Clerk's Office at Paris, Tennessee. They are the earliest marriage records that have been located to date for Henry County. .

In the above book marriages are recored in chronological orer for the dates on which the licenses were issued.

When the performing official did not sign a return, the date given in this transcription is that on which the license was issued.

No marriage bonds or individual licenses have been found for the marriages recorded in this volume.

These records have been transcribed from Marriage Books A and B which are stored in the office of the County Court Clerk at Paris, Tennessee.

In the above books, marriages are recored in chronological orer for the dates on which the licenses were issued.

When the performing official did not sign a return, the date given is that on which the license was issued.

Beginning with the year 1853 and continuing thereafter there are a few loose marriage bonds, and beginning with the year 1866 there are also a few loose licenses. Both the bonds and the licenses are filed by years, but not in exact alphabetical order. These are stored in files at the Henry County courthouse.
