Although it seems very unlikely, Ann Elizabeth may possibly have been the daughter of Manerva Brandon, and, if so, lived with her mother in Carroll County, adjoining Henry County, in 1850. The family, found on page 113, consisted of Manerva Brandon, female, 47, born in Kentucky, Barton, male, 37, born in Tennessee, Christopher, 22, Elizabeth, 13, and Manerva (I. or J.), 2, all born in Tennessee. This Elizabeth Brandon was likely married to a son from the neighboring Roark family.
